Chaya Bleend, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
I know that it can be really hard to reach out to a therapist for help. Despite all the progress made to decrease stigmatization about therapy, the stigma still exists. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can feel comfortable talking about what is most challenging for them. The most commonly identified challenges my clients face are relationship difficulties, sexual disorders, trauma, and women’s health. I work with clients to meet their own goals for treatment in addressing these struggles, partnering with them on their journey toward self-awareness and self-growth. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from New York University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support clients effectively. My approach is collaborative, meaning I see my work as a partnership with each client. I don’t have a specific agenda; my goal is simply to help clients achieve their goals. I take a holistic approach, helping clients understand how their past informs their present and how environment and relationships impact current functioning. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to engage in therapy and committed to the process. I may assign homework if it is helpful and meets the client’s needs. I welcome questions and feedback and deeply recognize that clients are the experts on their own lives. They bring the knowledge of their lived experiences, and I am always in awe of their capacity for healing, growth, and survival. In addition to therapy, I provide clinical supervision to other therapists seeking to enhance their clinical practice and teach social work students, sharing my passion for this work. If what I have shared resonates with you and you feel I can support you, I look forward to speaking with you and building a supportive, therapeutic relationship.
