My approach My approach begins with being an active listener, making sure my clients truly feel heard. I use a strength-based framework while also recognizing that understanding where thoughts first began can offer important insights. Although looking back can help us "understand the fire," our work will focus first on addressing the present using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I also incorporate mindfulness practices to help ground and center clients as we navigate their emotions and experiences. In addition, I weave in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to explore the "why" behind emotions and develop skills for emotional regulation. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and always focused on creating a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and grow. My focus My ideal client is simply someone who is willing to try. I understand that therapy can feel like a huge first step, especially inviting a stranger into your personal space. It’s hard and heavy to carry things alone, and I honor that courage. I work best with individuals navigating life transitions, processing old wounds, managing emotions, and seeking to build better communication and self-awareness. I offer a welcoming space where you don't have to have it all figured out; you just need to show up and be willing to explore.
