My approach I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to work with you to identify your unhelpful thought patterns and how those, along with your distressing feelings, directly impact behaviors. As your individual needs become apparent in therapy, I will make adjustments to include mindfulness, grounding strategies, and medications as is appropriate. My focus is on our goals and progress. Together, we will identify your challenges and develop strategies to help you move forward confidently. Whatever you are working on, I will support and encourage you to create a plan for growth that will empower you and that is achievable. My communication style I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can be open and safe. I will practice active listening and will allow you to reflect on your experiences as an empathetic partner. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into therapy began with my desire to help others find strength through life's most challenging situations. Early on in my experiences of becoming a therapist, I developed a joy in helping others achieve their goals and dreams. It continues to give me great joy and satisfaction to see my clients grow and move toward their dreams and goals.
