Getting to know Cheryl Polyudhapoom

I'm Cheryl Polyudhapoom. I'm a daughter, sister, wife, and mother to a beautiful child. I have worked with children, youth, and families involved with the foster care system for 15 years. During that time, I collaborated with educational professionals, law enforcement, and supervised social workers. Having lived in Los Angeles, San Jose, Monterey, and Bakersfield, CA, I have gained experience working with diverse populations and communities throughout California. I started my own private practice because I'm committed to helping adults build healthier relationships, heal from trauma, and learn how to manage their mental health. My work focuses on addressing negative behaviors, habits, and thoughts. While I believe in utilizing multiple modalities in treatment to help clients reach their goals, my primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). If you're struggling to cope with grief and loss, I can help you navigate these feelings and offer a path forward. I provide a safe and welcoming environment where you can share your thoughts and fears freely. I am here to offer support, comfort, and hope as you move forward. Life isn't easy-so don't do it alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California. LCSWs are trained to diagnose and treat mental health issues and substance misuse through psychotherapy and counseling. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Children, Youth, and Families from San José State University. I provide both in-person and teletherapy sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
