We all do our best to navigate this very complicated world. Along the way, we develop beliefs, perceptions, and narratives about who we are based on our experiences—both good and bad. In a confidential environment, together we will work collaboratively to challenge the obstacles that have become hurdles. I believe every human being has unique strengths, talents, and resources that often remain uncovered or minimized amidst an onslaught of life stressors. To be successful, the work cannot be one-size-fits-all but must always be tailored to match your unique experience. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and focus on individuals, couples, and adolescents (and their families), with particular emphasis on living a life with purpose and meaning. Using an existential, postmodern perspective, I draw from techniques in DBT, CBT, and narrative therapy while incorporating somatic and mindfulness-based methods to promote full mind and body cohesiveness. I work with veterans, antepartum/postpartum clients, school-aged adolescents, families, individuals, and minority groups facing a variety of mental health and life stressors ranging from depression to phase-of-life challenges. I have opened my services to the state of California through telehealth and look forward to meeting your mental health needs.
