Psychotherapist
1300 Market St, Ste 203, Redding, CA
I am Chloe Lucas, LMFT, and I have been a therapist for just under 10 years. My personality has been described as direct, curious, and grounding. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University, which laid the foundation for my trauma-focused practice. I work with teens, adult individuals, and parents, integrating spirituality as an essential part of the whole self. I see therapy as a vital tool for existential growth, especially in a culture that often lacks space for emotional expression and introspection. Therapy offers a unique relationship where emotional intimacy can be practiced, helping us become more attuned and connected to ourselves and others. My approach I almost always begin with Motivational Interviewing and incorporate other specialties based on the client's needs. I offer EMDR, DBT skills training, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) for traumatized children, and Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and integration for eligible clients. My focus While I work with all types of people, my practice has allowed me to specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, anger issues, identity development, insomnia, dissociation, child behavior problems, and parenting challenges. My communication style I am often direct and deeply curious, enjoying the process of building relationships. I have been told I have a grounding presence, which helps clients stay regulated through crises and process heavy emotions. Sometimes I may come across as rigid, but my openness to learn and grow means I welcome feedback and appreciate clients who collaborate on their treatment journey. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a genuine curiosity about people's stories. Even in my youth, people felt comfortable opening up to me. Over time, I have developed a passion for resilience and protective factors in childhood trauma, as well as healing from generational and cultural/ancestral trauma.
