Getting to know Chris Freeman
I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. My educational background includes a B.S. in Psychology and Human Services from Clayton State University (2009) and a Master's in Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia (2012). While I provide mental health services for everyone, my areas of professional expertise include working with oppressed groups, such as sexual and racial minorities, addressing stressors like homophobia, the coming out process, sexual orientation, race identity, gender identity, and transitioning, among other issues that may arise during counseling.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I have had opportunities to provide counseling in various settings. Professional experience over the past several years include working in inpatient settings, home/community based individual/family therapy, treatment planning, facilitating mental health and substance abuse counseling groups and diagnosing mental health and substance abuse disorders. You will find me to be active, open, supportive yet, gently challenging while in session. My approach to therapy is an integration of strengths-based, systems and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
