Getting to know Chris Miller

I have a varied past. Being a therapist is my 3rd career. My first was a professional waiter in 5 star restaurants. I spent 10 years understanding proper table service while I was attending architectural college. Post college I started a career in the film business as a set dresser. I moved furniture into sets for film and television. I worked my way up and eventually became a Production Designer. I created the look of those film and television sets. I balanced design, budgets and scheduling, for 20 years. Then I fell out of love with film and television work, so, I went back to school and got my Masters in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Specialist. I have been a therapist since 2011, working my beginning years in LA at the LGBTQ Center. I moved back to Boston in 2014 where I worked as a specialist in the Childrens Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) until 2025 when I left the agency and opened by own practice. It has been an inspiring journey.
