Getting to know Chrishina Scott

My name is Chrishina J. Scott. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Argosy University. My scope of practice focuses on helping adults who are adjusting to specific life changes-such as break-ups, divorce, work stress, becoming an empty nester, decision-making, grief, preparing for retirement, and young adults transitioning into independent decision-making. These situations may lead to situational anxiety or low mood, without suicidal thoughts or self-harming behaviors. I assist you in integrating your thoughts, feelings, and responses to stress with your core beliefs and values, allowing you to feel fulfilled in the areas that matter most. My goal is to help you reconnect with your true self so you can live your best life! Using the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy approach, counseling with me typically consists of 6-12 sessions. This means my clients must be ready to take accountability for reaching their goals and willing to do the work. As your counselor, I will be right by your side along the way! My counseling style is supportive, solution-focused, engaging, and easy-going. When necessary, I provide practical assignments to help you put your plan into action. With patience and empathy, I believe in meeting you where you are. Together, we can build a trusting relationship that allows you to say whatever you need to say without fear of judgment. We may even find some humor along the way-after all, laughter can be an important part of therapy. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, outdoor hiking, creative writing, and embracing cuddles from my fur-baby, Miss Alaska. As much as possible, I try to mirror what I encourage in my clients: aiming to establish a lifestyle of balance.
