Christin Frederick, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I have a relational treatment approach, which means that the relationship that develops between you and me is the most important ingredient for change. You can expect me to be somewhat casual and very approachable. I use humor and compassion to create connection. This connection creates a safe place for us to exchange ideas, talk about experiences, and share vulnerably. We can talk, draw, write, and imagine to make sense of your experiences and create more stability and satisfaction in all of your relationships. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, which complements my varied professional and personal background. I have worked in education, sales, the military, and business development. Personally, I have been married, divorced, and widowed. I have co-parented and been a step-parent. I use the depth of these experiences to enhance my clinical work. Making sense of complicated circumstances is my specialty. Let's sort out your most difficult situations together and find a way to peace.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"I help people to sort through difficult emotions, understand complicated relationships and to create the clarity needed to make changes. Through our work we will discover barriers and heal old hurts. We will help you to move into new experiences free from the restraints of the past fully appreciating the here and now. In our practice, we help people to improve their relationships by energizing their strengths and becoming aware of their blindspots. We achieve this by developing a high-trust environment where personal and professional exploration can reveal road blocks and skill deficits and where new insights and ways of being can develop."

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
