Getting to know Christina Arcega

Hi. I am Christina. Are you feeling alone? Do you worry that no one will understand or that you'll be seen as "crazy" if you open up? Does life feel overwhelming, leaving you unsure of what to do next? I support high-functioning individuals in identifying, addressing, and overcoming the challenges-big or small-that arise on this journey called life. Life doesn't have to get worse before it gets better. Some of the areas I have worked with most include depression, anxiety, relational issues, trauma, grief, and life transitions or changes. Together, we'll identify what holds you back from being your best self. Using a whole-person approach, we'll consider all aspects of you and your life as we address your needs and desires. Seeking therapy can bring up many thoughts and feelings, but you will have a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore, confront, heal, and grow throughout your process. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Saint Mary's College of California and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawai‘i. Let's start with one conversation at a time, one step at a time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I truly feel that therapy starts with the relationship between the individual and the therapist. You will get an authentic, genuine person that cares. You will feel heard, understood, and safe. At times, you can take away small pockets of insight or knowledge. At other times, I will offer suggestions of evidence-based techniques for you to practice. Maybe we will laugh together, maybe we will shed some tears. I would like you to leave sessions feeling as if the burden you carry is a little lighter or the struggles you hold are a little easier to manage.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
