Psychotherapist
CA
Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me as you search for the right therapist for you. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with eight years of experience and a Master’s in Counseling from Saint Mary’s College of California. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help when you’re going through difficult times in your life. My passion for being a therapist stems from my desire to help people at times in their lives when they feel stuck, alone, emotionally paralyzed, scared, hopeless, numb, conflicted, and any other overwhelming emotions that arise. My role as your therapist is to provide a safe space where you can explore what’s on your mind and in your heart, as we work together to find solutions to the obstacles that are preventing you from feeling your best. In my practice, I focus a lot on making connections between feelings, thoughts, and actions. I often utilize strategies from Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapies. We will work together to identify your goals and the steps that are needed for you to achieve those goals. Therapy can sometimes feel intimidating when you have never done it before and even if you have done it before. I think it helps to see it as two people sitting together and having a conversation, in which you get to show up exactly as you are and do not have to pretend to feel, think, or act otherwise. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and to help you work through whatever is currently troubling you.
