Psychotherapist
17744 Sky Park Cir, 285, Irvine, CA
Dr. Christine Cox is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (163375) who provides inclusive therapy for people who suffer from anxiety, depression, burnout and a feelings of not belonging. Loneliness and anxiety often go hand in hand, leaving many of us feeling exhausted, stretched thin, and more alone than we like to admit. Over time, those feelings can deepen anxiety and depression, and they can make reaching out feel even harder. But noticing how heavy things have become is often where relief begins, and where joy can slowly find its way back in. Taking that first step toward healing is something we can do together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Life feels like it's moving faster than any of us can keep up with. Your phone never stops buzzing, your to do list never shrinks, and somewhere along the way you may have stopped feeling like yourself. That kind of constant pressure can leave you feeling overwhelmed, burned out, and stuck in nonstop worry, panic, sadness, or a tiredness that sleep doesn't fix. I'm a licensed therapist in Irvine, California, and I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and burnout. In our sessions, we'll slow things down and figure out what's really going on underneath the stress. You'll learn practical ways to calm your body, quiet your thoughts, and set boundaries so you have more energy for the things and people that matter. I also pay attention to how your background, culture, and relationships shape your narrative and what you're experiencing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a collaborative approach, which means we work together to tailor therapy to your goals and your pace. I'm warm, down to earth, and nonjudgmental. If you're feeling overwhelmed and aren't sure where to start, that's okay. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. I offer both telehealth and in person sessions, and you can book online anytime.
