Getting to know Christine Leyva Buccio
My skills and experience have allowed me to work with diverse cultures who are often reluctant to seek treatment due to stigma. Having been raised Armenian and Greek, I have experienced multicultural and societal pressures firsthand. When a person faces a challenging life event, even the most competent individual may need extra support or guidance. Everyone has problems, and there is no shame in seeking help. It is my goal to create a safe, Christ-centered environment where you can navigate issues of acculturation and emotional scars from the past that may prevent you from pursuing God’s purposes.
For the past 14 years, I have dedicated my life to improving the psychological health of families, including adults, adolescents, and children in the Greater Los Angeles Area. I hold a Master’s in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles. My expertise includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who present with various mental disorders (i.e., mood, anxiety, behavioral), addiction, and histories of trauma.
My strengths lie in my ability to enter my clients’ worlds without bias or discrimination, using my own testimony as a source of empowerment. It is within the authentic therapeutic-client relationship that change occurs, as one is guided to self-reflect and explore. I am certified in multiple evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
