Hi there, I'm Christine! Hello, my name is Christine Mckeehan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) from California Southern University. I also hold a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Stanislaus. I have been licensed since 2013 and in practice since 2020. I have worked with families in some capacity for more than 30 years—as a foster parent, social worker, forensic psychologist post-doc, and in other service-driven roles. I work with the philosophy of starting where the client is at and using a solutions-focused perspective to establish goals that propel you forward. I have extensive experience working with youth and their parents, including some who are incarcerated. I support those who have experienced trauma—physical, sexual, emotional, and neglect. I have served as a domestic violence and sexual assault counselor for adults and youth, working with both survivors and those who have perpetrated violence. I also work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, parenting struggles, anger issues, and other mental health challenges. Additionally, I offer court-ordered anger management groups. My practice is currently 100% online through a HIPAA-compliant platform. My approach At times, we all feel "stuck" or "overwhelmed" by life circumstances. You are worth it and deserve a judgment-free zone. We will work from a place where you have felt successful in the past and explore how to achieve that feeling of success and satisfaction again. You can be the "best you." You deserve it, and your loved ones deserve a happier you. The most common theoretical approaches I utilize in therapy include Solutions-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology. My focus I offer services to youth, adults, and the aged population.
