Christine Pound, LCSW

Psychotherapist
GA
I have been working with children and adults in various settings and regions as a professional social worker for over 20 years. Every day I reflect on how much I love what I do and how honored I feel to work as a team with my clients on their growth goals. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University, which has provided a strong foundation for my practice. As your therapist, my goal is to guide you toward creating safe spaces where your emotions can be processed while helping you discover your own unique, healthy coping strategies. I want you to experience the multifaceted benefits of taking care of yourself without feeling ashamed, so you can continually strive to be the best version of yourself. While I understand that bringing another person into your healing journey can be scary, I also know the immeasurable benefits and sense of empowerment that come when we begin working toward solutions. I am here to help you find your way to those solutions. The counseling journey begins with exploring the issues as you see them and building a relationship that allows us to work together to achieve client-centered goals. My approach to therapy with adolescents and adults is strengths-based and eclectic, using different approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practice, Expressive Arts, or DBT to promote self-compassion and healing while strengthening supportive relationships. My hope is that you experience some inner peace and clarity after each session as you continue on the path toward meeting your larger goals in therapy. I look forward to working with you!
