Christine Shephard, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from Tulane University, practicing social work and case management since 1996. I have worked in various settings including outpatient clinics, residential facilities, jails, nursing homes, and case management in client homes. I currently run intensive outpatient groups as well as provide individual counseling for individuals of all ages. I believe that movement and change are essential to growth, and I practice this personally while encouraging it professionally. I have a passion for walking alongside my clients and providing tools to help them navigate life's challenges and emerge stronger and more balanced. I believe that without change, there would be no butterflies. My approach I use CBT techniques extensively with my clients and find them extremely effective in bridging the gap between emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, especially for anxiety and depression. Incorporating positive psychology is essential to shifting our mindset away from negative thinking and ultimately leads to lasting lifestyle changes toward becoming the person you want to be. As a strong believer, I am happy to incorporate faith into sessions at whatever level my clients are comfortable with. I believe that spirituality (not religion) is a key part of growth along with mental health. Overall wellness and growth are what lead to a balanced life. My focus I am passionate about transformation and value helping individuals grow as they work through transitional periods in their lives. Wanting something different and feeling discomfort is essential and often the motivating factor. I am willing to provide the tools and direction to walk alongside my clients who are willing to show up and participate. My communication style Practicing communication is a byproduct of therapy, and how we communicate is sometimes based on areas of need. Regarding maintaining contact with clients,
