Social work is my retirement career, following many years of working with the public in food services, advocacy, volunteerism, and connecting individuals with needed resources. I provide a supportive and safe space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to share their stories at their own pace. I use a strengths-based, person-centered approach that focuses on resilience, coping skills, and meaningful connections. Interventions are tailored to each individual's needs, abilities, and goals, with attention to cultural background, family dynamics, and support systems. My goal is to help older adults maintain emotional well-being, enhance quality of life, and foster a sense of purpose, dignity, and autonomy as they navigate this stage of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is a time to get to know one another in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. We'll talk about what brought you to counseling, your goals, and any concerns you may have. You're encouraged to share at your own pace. We'll review confidentiality, discuss how therapy works, and begin creating a plan that feels comfortable, respectful, and tailored to your needs.
