Chris Furter is a LPC working under supervision and direction. He is passionate about helping young adults adjust to new or different lifestyles, each with their own struggles, in order to live more meaningful lives. Chris completed his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Chris utilizes several treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt, existential, and Rogerian (person-centered) in addition to others. Chris has knowledge and exposure to multiple fields of study and their work-related outcomes, which allows him to understand the difficulties of various industries as well as career transitions after graduation. Providing clients with a space where they can be their authentic selves is what he strives to do. While his path to counseling has been unorthodox, Chris realized therapy is his true calling upon finding that the most joy in his previous job came from interacting with clients to improve their lives.
