Getting to know Christopher Santini
As a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with culturally, economically, and ethnically diverse individuals, families, couples, and groups from all walks of life. I have practiced both domestically and internationally, including in NYC, California, and most recently in Dublin, Ireland. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. Please note that I am currently only taking tele-therapy clients and use a HIPAA-approved platform. I have found tele-therapy to be very convenient for clients with challenging schedules.
I have extensive knowledge and training related to gender identity, sexuality, and non-traditional relationships, such as polyamory and open relationships. Additionally, I have expertise and personal experience with personality disorders including Narcissism, Borderline, Avoidant, and Antisocial, as well as the emotional trauma experienced in relationships with people affected by these mental health issues.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My specialties include: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, bereavement, couples counseling and marital/family conflict, as well as unique training and insight into issues affecting the LGBTQ community.
I utilize utilize therapeutic homework as well as relevant articles (including mindfulness and holistic approaches to assist clients to maximize their insights and knowledge into the specific issues affecting their mental health and to provide concrete knowledge and coping skills to assist with coping skill acquisition and symptoms management/ reduction.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
