Claudia De Casas, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a bilingual Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Azusa Pacific University and over 7 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, families, and couples. My clinical background includes field-based community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care, and private practice. Therapy can be a transformative experience of growth and self-discovery. I believe that within each of us lies the power to live the life we truly want. We possess inner strengths that help us overcome life's obstacles, though doing so can be challenging and requires tremendous courage and support. We are here to learn and evolve. It's not easy getting there, but once you do, you are glad you went through the process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have an easy going personality and often bring humor into sessions. During the intake session, I encourage clients to discuss what brings them to therapy as well as what goals they would like to accomplish. My primary goal, is to create a safe place that enables a strong therapeutic relationship. Sessions are tailored based on the client's needs and tend to be unstructured and client led. Homework may be assigned occasionally in the form of readings, relationship building activities, or implementing skills learned during session into daily life. I implement reflective questions and challenge my clients in order to facilitate insight while laying the groundwork for growth and healing.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
