Claudia Melo, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I was born and raised in Mexico City and arrived in Los Angeles at the age of 16. My experiences as an immigrant and a single teen mother inspired my career in mental health. With over 18 years of experience, I am a bilingual Latinx therapist who integrates evidence-based therapeutic practices like CBT, DBT, and interpersonal therapy with holistic healing modalities and ancestral medicine through my private practice, Luna Nueva Holistic Therapy. In addition to my therapy practice, I co-founded Botanica Melo, a spiritual wellness practice with my daughter. Through Luna Nueva Holistic Therapy and Botanica Melo, I am committed to empowering individuals to reconnect with their inner selves and embrace radical self-love on their healing journeys. I work with individuals who are navigating life transitions, processing grief, healing from generational and cultural trauma, or seeking to reconnect with their sense of purpose and identity. Many of the people I support are BIPOC, first-generation, or come from multicultural backgrounds, and are often looking for a therapist who reflects their lived experiences, someone who sees them, understands the depths of their journey, and creates a space where they can show up fully and authentically. My clients seek more than just coping tools; they’re looking for a space that honors their uniqueness and affirms every part of who they are. We co-create a container for self-discovery, empowerment, and connection with self. I walk beside you as a guide, holding space for your healing with care, cultural humility, and deep respect. Through this process, clients often feel more grounded, embodied, and aligned with their truth, carrying forward not only insight but a renewed sense of inner strength and possibility.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
