Getting to know Claudia Villierme

My name is Claudia Villierme, M.Ed., MFT, & APCC. I extend a comfortable and warm approach to therapeutic session work. While topics within our sessions may be complex, I believe the process of building rapport, listening, reflecting, and brainstorming our options can be simple. By offering a combination of therapies tailored to your needs, I approach most clients with a trauma-informed perspective, understanding that many of us have experienced trauma and adversities in our past. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, which has shaped my integrative approach to care. My approach Often with trauma-informed care, a therapist holds space for clients to come as they are. I intend to build rapport and create a safe space where we can find a therapeutic approach that fits you as an individual. I often include insight and psychoeducation based on biology, psychoanalysis, cognitive, and humanistic approaches. My focus Clients I typically serve have named trauma or excessive stress in their history, whether recent or from childhood. Many are anticipating or experiencing a life transition and seeking support and guidance. Because symptoms of depression, anxiety, and neurodiversity can be overwhelming, I work with clients to deepen their understanding and learn additional coping techniques for their toolkits. My communication style Because I believe you are the expert-you know yourself best-I offer an environment where we collaborate, challenge past behaviors or thinking, and reflect on whatever feelings arise, all in a setting without judgment. The opportunity to work with you toward growth, catharsis, and healing is a profound privilege for me.
