Hello, my name is Colleen and I am a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of experience walking with individuals and families through life transitions. I help my clients build resilience and joy whatever the season or challenge. I understand navigating family dysfunction, mental health struggles, the search for identity, even the pain of falling through the cracks. Whatever challenges you are facing, you are not alone. I consider it a privilege to journey with you in this season.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe what we believe is what we live out. So often in working with my clients we discover they have bought into a lot of lies! I help my clients challenge those lies, replace them with truth, build their resiliency, and engage in the healing power of joy. Each of us has our own personal story; an individual journey that creates a unique tapestry of life. Each day is a beautiful opportunity to heal, grow and transform.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In our first meeting together we will have a conversation, get to know each other. It is an opportunity to hear your story, what you hope to get out of our time together, and talk about how you can move towards your goals. I often hear clients say that they were nervous coming in. However the perspective offered even in that first session helped lift a weight, relieved some of the tension, and allowed them to leave that first session smiling and hopeful!
