Hi there, I'm Contessa! Hello, my name is Contessa Ruiz, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master's in Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. I have a firm belief in the power of change within each individual. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people on their journey of self-awareness. My approach I enjoy approaching client work through the lens of attachment theory. I work to help clients integrate all parts of themselves to live their most authentic lives. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy in my work with clients. My focus I enjoy working with young adults and other adults who are struggling to find their groove in life. Identity work is one of my favorite parts of the work I do with people who are eager, able, and willing. I have a strong passion for working with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and any history of trauma. My communication style I work hard to normalize the patient experience. I understand the complexity of beginning services and focus on gearing up and getting moving early on. When the client is motivated and willing, we can create a real chemistry that allows for transparency and ambition.
