No matter our age, life can throw us for a loop sometimes. Even young children can struggle with anxiety, depression, or self-esteem issues. This can be very overwhelming, not only for the child but for the parents as well. Familial conflict often stems from these challenges due to the stress they place on the entire family unit. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. Because of this, I take the time to really get to know my clients and their families to create a plan tailored to their specific needs. I help clients paint a picture of their ideal reality and then work with them to implement changes that move them toward that vision. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University and a Bachelor's degree from James Madison University. I know firsthand how challenging life can be. Whether the focus is on improving ourselves or helping someone else, having a guide along the way can make all the difference. If you're ready to take the first step toward improving yourself or someone you care about, let's find a time to talk and begin moving forward together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

No two people are the same, which is why I tailor my approach to your unique needs and goals. Together, we will work to better understand your specific situation, identify the factors in your life that need to be prioritized, and learn how to feel more balanced and in control. I utilize a multifaceted approach to help you better understand how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors. My main goal is to help clients to feel more in control of their lives. By using a combination of CBT, Solution-Focused therapy, and an overall holistic approach, I help present clients with different perspectives to adopt, with the intention of this changing how they feel about a situation. With this approach, clients have reported experiencing improvements to their lives in as little as 3-6 months.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first few initial sessions, we will get to know each other, and begin identifying key areas of your life that you feel are the most impactful. From there, we will explore how you perceive these key areas, and work on adopting alternative perspectives to help either change the way we feel about a particular situation, or lower the intensity overall. As sessions progress, we will continue to diver deeper beneath the surface to help you better recognize personal insecurities that may be holding you back. I make it a point to meet all of my clients where they are at, and walk in stride with them, as the venture outside of their comfort zone in the effort to be there better selves.
