Psychotherapist
TN
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 14 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through life’s most challenging seasons. My passion is helping clients navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational struggles using evidence-based, compassionate care. Whether working in schools, juvenile justice programs, or private counseling, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where growth and healing can take root. My approach My approach to care is evidence-based, compassionate, and collaborative. I create individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and expressive play therapy. I believe therapy works best when it involves the whole support system. For children and adolescents, I work closely with parents and caregivers to help them understand and support their child’s growth. I also collaborate with teachers, pediatricians, social workers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and well-rounded approach to care. With younger clients, I often integrate play and creative expression to provide a safe outlet for feelings that may be hard to put into words. I emphasize resilience and strengths, helping each client build coping skills they can carry into everyday life. In moments of crisis, I provide immediate support and connect clients to additional resources when needed. Above all, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients and families feel understood, empowered, and equipped to heal and grow. My focus I primarily work with children and adolescents, helping them navigate challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and life transitions.
