Psychotherapist
NC
Are you anxious, depressed, or struggling in your relationships? Are you feeling fed up or on edge? Many people experience these issues, and you are not alone! Are you ready to find relief, relaxation, and make connections? Together, we can work on bringing back that best version of you. I know how hard it can be to feel connected to people, especially after the world essentially shut down and is starting to open back up again. I strive to provide a safe space to support you in overcoming your struggles. I have worked with individuals from young adults to those late in adulthood who are struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. I engage in ongoing education to learn and improve my current skill set. My primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have been practicing in the field of Social Work for over twelve years. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from East Carolina University with a concentration in Substance Use Disorders. My goal in therapy sessions is to meet you where you are, focusing on the here and now with positivity and empathy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a 60 minute "fact finding" session in which we will discuss what you are looking for in therapy, what you would like to work on/work through and developing a treatment plan. Treatment plans are living breathing documents that can and will change throughout our time together. For all sessions, clients can expect to find a safe, open and honest environment in which to not be judged and have a positive experience. You can expect to be challenged in a therapeutic way and to be supported in the way that you need.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
