“Craig is a fantastic therapist and it has been a real pleasure working with him. Very grateful to have found him. He’s insightful, honest, tells it like it is when the mirror is needed, but does so with care and a touch of humor. Offers suggestions for concrete actions. I would highly recommend him to others.”

Getting to know Craig MacLaughlin

Navigating the complexity of today's stress levels can be difficult. When you add challenges such as addiction, relationships, trauma, and low self-esteem, life can feel overwhelming. Selecting the right therapist is an important step in building your support team for recovery. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to develop and provide integrated addiction and mental health services to individuals, families, and corporations for more than 30 years. I have served as a therapist, clinical director, and CEO at many nationally recognized organizations, including Scripps McDonald Center, The Betty Ford Center, Michaels House, St. Vincent de Paul, and Roadworks Collective. It has been a privilege to assist in developing dozens of integrated counseling and treatment programs, such as residential and outpatient dual diagnosis treatment centers, family services, judicial support services, youth and school programs, and services for the homeless. My therapeutic approach is grounded in clinical knowledge, experience, and respect, recognizing that you have the insight and ability to move through your challenges and achieve your self-determined goals. I value your perspective, sense of self, and vision of who you are and where you want to be. I hold a Master's degree in Psychology from National University and a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University. It would be a privilege to be part of your recovery team, working together to develop and implement the skill sets that can support your success. Some goals may require short-term solutions, while others may take longer; either way, you will succeed. A self-empowering tool to consider is learning how to identify and measure your progress-this is key to moving forward toward your goals and sustained recovery. I look forward to working with you.

very rude, curt, and quite frankly, a bit judgemental. One of the worst bedside manners I've ever seen - treated me like a piece of meat on a factory assembly line
