Getting to know Cristian Rideaux

Hi, my name is Cristian Rideaux, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston. I have experience working with young adults facing anxiety, stress, and depression. I use a variety of modalities such as CBT, DBT, and MI to help my clients make progress toward their goals. My approach to therapy is very client-centered and focused. I meet each client where they are, helping them set realistic goals and working alongside them to achieve those goals. I have worked with many different age groups and mental health diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I collaborate with each client to help them understand their symptoms and find effective ways to cope. My communication style is calm and welcoming. I am open and strive to ensure my clients feel comfortable and understood so they can get the most out of therapy. I chose to become a therapist because I am inspired by the incredible resilience of humans. People can go through difficult times and still have the ability to come out stronger on the other side. I love witnessing that part of humanity. My goal is to work closely with my clients to ensure they are actively involved in setting goals that are realistic and achievable. During our first session, you can expect me to ask questions to better understand the symptoms you have been experiencing.
