Hello, my name is Maria Hernandez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I am excited that you are here today. My primary role as a psychotherapist is to assist others in managing life’s challenges. I enjoy helping people by providing the right tools to allow them to see their potential and make progress toward their goals. However, this is not my only role—I am also a friend, partner, and stepparent, all of which shape who I am today and influence my personality. I believe my personality is very welcoming; I am friendly, a good listener, and empathetic. These qualities have helped my approach in therapy by easing the process of building rapport and creating an accepting environment. I was raised in a Christian home with values and morals that now define who I am and have supported my career, including being humble, honest, respectful, and caring. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, which further equipped me to support others on their journey toward healing and growth.
