TX
Hi there, I'm Curtisha! I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience providing family, individual, and group therapy. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Southern Illinois University. I have helped clients with stress, depression, anxiety, coping with addictions, anger management, motivation, self-esteem, marital concerns, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes a lot of courage, and I am proud of you for doing so! My approach I am experienced in using the following therapeutic approaches: Psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapies, Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Holistic Approaches. My focus I currently focus on working with adults managing life transitions, work stress, and marital concerns. I am comfortable treating depression, anxiety, stress, parenting concerns, and developing life goals. I also work with teens to help manage stress, develop life goals, and cope with other mental health concerns. My communication style I approach all clients with respect, empathy, and a motivating tone. When working with me, I like to make our sessions feel like conversations rather than typical therapy sessions. I create space to build trust and open communication. My journey to therapy I love working with people and helping them reach their fullest potential. My goals for you When goal setting with clients, I gather information about how they envision their life in the near future and the barriers to their success. My first session with you The first session focuses on information gathering, treatment planning, and beginning interventions right away.
