Getting to know Cynthia Holden

Greetings, Are you feeling stressed and overwhelmed by life circumstances? Have you been struggling to make things make sense but instead find yourself stuck in cycles of frustration despite attempts to figure things out on your own? I specialize in helping women with anxiety and depression disorders. I love creating a safe, non-judgmental environment that enables you to get to the core of your struggles. Together we can find clarity, identify what’s not working, and explore evidence-based techniques to help you break through cycles and overcome challenges. We’ll integrate mindfulness practices and use holistic approaches to address your mind, body, and spirit needs. I understand that pursuing therapy can feel uncertain, but you’re making the right choice to invest in your healing and growth. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Loyola University Maryland and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I look forward to working with you. Cynthia Holden, LCPC

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your first session will be different from future visits. Your initial session is a time for us to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. Future visits will be more therapeutic in nature. You can expect to answer questions about your symptoms, what brought you to therapy, and your history. You will leave each session feeling heard, respected and sometimes challenged.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Ms. Holden is a very great listener. I truly love how she prepares for our sessions. Her feedback makes great sense to me and I love how she listens to what I have to say. She is very warm and also direct with her dialogue which is what I wanted in a therapist. I appreciate the way she handles my sessions.
She possesses a very calming spirit that puts me at ease when talking to her. She's not afraid to tell me to see things from different perspectives. I oftentimes leave her sessions renewed and encouraged.
