Hi there, I'm Cynthia! My name is Cynthia, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a Master's in Counseling and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix. I am also a proud dog mom to two Chihuahua terriers and one poodle terrier. I have worked in agency settings, high schools, and residential treatment facilities with adults. I bring extensive experience in crisis management, having collaborated with law enforcement as a co-responder and worked within the County jail system. I love teaching mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills to help build a life worth living. I can also integrate other modalities or combine approaches depending on your unique needs. My focus I have supported individuals struggling with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, life stressors, attachment issues, low self-esteem, weight challenges, and adjusting to life changes. My communication style I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore yourself and the world around you. I will respectfully challenge you when needed to support your growth. I help navigate personal relationships and assist in solving struggles you may face. I tend to be warm and bubbly, genuinely committed to guiding you through any stage of life to develop effective coping skills. I welcome your feedback about the therapeutic process and ways to improve. My journey to mental healthcare My passion for helping others began with my own experience of depression as a teen. I believe no one should struggle alone. I am dedicated to helping those facing obstacles in accessing services and working in less desirable settings. I am driven by the belief that we are all worthy of creating a life where happiness is a given and we can cope with life's complexities.
