Getting to know Cynthia Wright

Hello! I am a warm, collaborative therapist with over 13 years of experience working with clients ages 8 and up from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I help clients navigate anxiety, trauma, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. My approach is personalized and grounded in evidence-based practices including CBT and DBT, while also incorporating trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, ART, and Sandtray Therapy when appropriate. I also support clients integrating Ketamine-assisted treatment as part of their healing process. I believe therapy should feel safe, engaging, and collaborative, with care tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that I value creating a space where they feel genuinely comfortable, supported, and understood. I take a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy, meaning I work to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My style is warm, interactive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, while also incorporating trauma-informed and experiential techniques when appropriate. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship stress, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, self-aware, and supported throughout the healing process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know you as a whole person—your experiences, current stressors, strengths, relationships, and goals for therapy. Early sessions focus on building trust, identifying patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, and creating a treatment approach tailored to your individual needs. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT, while also integrating trauma-informed modalities like EMDR, Brainspotting, ART, and Sandtray Therapy when appropriate. Sessions are collaborative and interactive, with a balance of emotional processing, practical coping tools, and deeper self-exploration. My goal is to help clients develop greater insight, emotional regulation, and healthier ways of navigating challenges both inside and outside of therapy.
