Hello! I'm Dabney, and I'm so glad you're here. I have a passion for working with people struggling with a variety of issues, including dysfunctional behavior rooted in shame, addiction, self-loathing, low self-esteem, perfectionism, trauma, abuse, and grief/loss. My goal is to help you heal your wounds, develop a new relationship with your thoughts, and transform your life. I believe in helping my clients reach their full potential by living their lives more confidently and authentically. With over thirteen years of experience as a therapist, I have provided therapy in both individual and group settings. My background includes helping clients navigate everyday sources of stress such as relationship problems, family conflicts, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, anger management, and school/work issues. I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, always providing compassionate, non-judgmental care. My approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from multiple theories and techniques. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. This diverse toolkit allows me to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including ADHD, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, bipolar disorder, children's mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, OCD, PTSD, sex/intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, and trauma.
