Hi there, I'm Dale! Hello, my name is Dale A. Elzie, LCSW. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Valdosta, GA, licensed in both Georgia and Florida. I work with adults and specialize in mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, bereavement and grief therapy (including loss of pets), depressive disorders, marital and relationship issues, stress and trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. My approach My therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of each client. I offer the highest standard of care and believe in a client-centered approach that honors the integrity, dignity, self-worth, and self-determination of every individual. I also provide faith-based counseling upon request. My focus Throughout my career, I have worked with active duty military and their families, veterans and their families, and first responders and their families. I support clients who have experienced domestic violence and emotional, physical, or sexual trauma as children, youth, or adults. I also assist those struggling with low self-esteem, guilt, shame, anger, and resentment. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporates Family Systems, Gestalt Therapy, and Short-Term Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe that with desire, hard work, discipline, and practice, every client can achieve and maintain personal growth, improved relationships, a sense of peace and well-being, and profound joy in life.
