Hi there, I'm Dallassa! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and an LMHC in Florida, as well as an Air Force veteran with deployment experience. I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and am qualified to provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy. I help individuals and families with depression, anxiety, life changes, trauma (PTSD), anger management, parenting, and relationship challenges. I have also worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ individuals and families. My approach My counseling style combines warmth and empathy with tactful honesty and accountability. I believe in empowering my clients to take ownership of their therapy and develop skills to advocate for themselves and their loved ones. I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral, psycho-education, mindfulness, and humanistic treatment approaches. I understand that sometimes all a person needs is an attentive ear, while other times quick and practical solutions to problematic symptoms or issues are essential. My focus I have experience helping individuals manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, communication, parenting, life goals, existential focus, gender identity, LGBTQIA+, polyamory, and various other life challenges. My communication style Your sessions will be a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss what's on your mind, how you feel, and the struggles or challenges you face in life. We will also work on processing past events that may be keeping you stuck in old patterns that no longer serve you. My journey to therapy Since my early 20s, I have wanted to be a therapist and support people on their life journeys. I served in the military to help pay for college and traveled nationally and internationally for work and leisure. I have enjoyed the process of becoming a therapist and find fulfillment in practicing therapy. I love getting to know people and helping them live happy, authentic lives.
