Getting to know Dana Ferry

Hello! My name is Dana Ferry, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have found incredible benefit in scientifically proven healing therapies such as meditation and EMDR to treat trauma. This inspired me to return to school, where I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. I also hold a Master’s in Government from California State University, Sacramento, and a Bachelor’s degree from Sonoma State University. Studying the science of healing has deepened my understanding and strengthened my ability to help others heal as well. My approach Today, we know much more about the long-term effects of trauma and stress on the brain. Even better, we understand the powerful healing that comes from finding a safe place to be seen and understood without fear of judgment. I fully believe in meeting clients where they are and adapting to their needs in ways that feel comfortable and beneficial. My focus Life brings many challenges—anxiety, grief, depression, and both physical and emotional pain. I typically work with clients facing daily struggles who need a safe space to process difficult experiences and find closure. Coming from a military background, I have worked with veterans for many years, supporting those dealing with significant trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Whatever has brought you here seeking a therapist, I’m here to help you create a plan for a successful path toward healing. My communication style My communication style is casual and playful. I’m genuinely curious about client experiences and see my role as walking alongside clients on their healing journey—not directing it. My goals for you I believe in personal choice and trust that we have the answers within us; we just need the space to explore them.
