Dana Harris, LMFT

Psychotherapist
850 Colorado Blvd, Ste 102, Los Angeles, CA
There's no instruction manual for life. Relationship problems, career questions, and mental health issues can leave us feeling confused about our identity, where we fit in, and how to move forward. I specialize in helping adults and couples navigate difficult feelings, identify and change unhelpful thoughts and patterns, and become "un-stuck" to enjoy a more peaceful mind and a happier life. I hold a Master's in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University and a certification in Trauma-Focused CBT, along with training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. My approach is open, casual, and collaborative, and I strive to maintain a judgment-free space where clients feel fully accepted, truly seen, and supported. I'm LGBTQIA+-friendly, sex/kink-positive, and culturally sensitive. I draw on tools and techniques from various approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, Postmodern approaches, and Mindfulness, tailoring them to each client's unique needs and presenting issues. As an East Coast transplant, I bring warmth and directness, along with humility, empathy, and especially humor, to all client interactions. Together, we will build on your strengths, ease your symptoms, unpack your baggage, and retire the limiting and inaccurate beliefs about yourself and the world that no longer serve you.
