Getting to know Daniel Clare

Hi there, I'm Daniel! My name is Daniel Clare. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Land O' Lakes, FL, working with clients statewide through telehealth. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Saint Leo University. I work with adults, kids ages 5-12, teens 13-18, and parents using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Somatic Awareness through a Polyvagal lens as modalities to help clients build the skills they need to make progress and feel better in an increasingly complex world. My approach My approach to therapy adapts to meet the unique needs of each client. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Polyvagal approaches to build a shared understanding of their reality, allowing us to work together to chart a path forward. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for kids, teens, young adults, older adults, and parents facing life's challenges. These often include anxiety, depression, stress, anger outbursts, and frustration toward self, others, and the world at large. I work to help my clients navigate these challenges, build skills to feel better, and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style My communication style is calm, personable, and at times humorous to help relieve the tension that comes from the complex issues my clients face. Talking with someone for the first time can feel stressful, especially in therapy. I pride myself on helping clients feel relaxed and comfortable without fear of judgment so we can focus on what they truly need. My journey to mental healthcare This is a bit personal, but I come from a family with complicated trauma. It was hard growing up in that environment, but it inspired a drive and desire to help others find a way through difficult moments in life.
