Getting to know Daniel Karkoska

I am Daniel Karkoska. I have a broad range of experience treating trauma and gender and sexual identity in adults. I am EMDR trained and focus on uncovering what may be holding someone back from making a meaningful life change. Whether lightening the emotional load of a traumatic experience, or simply taking time to create more clarity, my approach is mindful and nonjudgmental. I specialize in providing treatment to those who have experienced trauma, utilizing skills-based therapies such as CBT/DBT, as well as techniques from IFS and Polyvagal theory to inform the EMDR process. I find this combination to be effective in safely reconnecting with difficult emotions in helpful ways that allow for meaningful change.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
