Daniel Segundo, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a second-generation child of immigrants, a Cuban-American Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I specialize in holding space for children and adults to heal from trauma, transform their relationship to themselves, and navigate unexpected life transitions. My approach to therapy is relational and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where we can explore your story, name your strengths, and work toward the goals that matter most to you at your own pace. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed or simply seeking support during a difficult moment, I’m here to guide you. My approach My approach to care is holding a cultural lens to healing while being strengths-based. This means I want to center your upbringing, your roots, and honor your strengths while in therapy. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities - cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, play therapy, attachment theory, and mindfulness-based practices, to meet your therapeutic goals. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences and relationships may have shaped your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to survive and exist in today's world. Our time together won't be focused on examining what's wrong with you, but on exploring what happened to you. How did you get here? I strive to create a space that is compassionate and understanding of your experience - a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and we can contextualize your life experiences to guide your healing process. My focus Many of my clients are navigating changes they didn’t expect - a recent loss, a breakup, a new role, or simply a shift in how they see themselves. These changes may evoke certain feelings, thoughts, or behaviors that clients may wish to change.
