“Daniel asks really good questions and got me to open up about things. When my answers are surface level, he digs deeper. Once he gets deep enough, he provides his insight and labels my feelings tangibly, helping me identify them more easily. He also keeps me accountable when feedback is provided, and checks in for progress in future sessions. Daniel's helped me understand myself more at this point in my life, would recommend and would see Daniel again in the future.”

Getting to know Daniel Yim

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations in various community settings. I adopt different approaches in my clinical work to best fit the unique needs of the populations I serve. As a therapist, I work to help clients feel grounded and supported during our sessions. I strive for authenticity in my work and encourage clients to value honesty within themselves and in their relationships with others. My goal is to facilitate growth and meaningful change during our time together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients to identify, process, and learn to better cope with their different mental health distress. I work to find what my clients’ goals are in treatment and build their capacity for growth and change. Therapy isn't easy but I hope to utilize our time to address misconceptions, work through their resistance, and create a catalyst for change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
