Getting to know Danielle Sarno

Hi! I'm Danielle, a psychotherapist offering virtual therapy throughout California. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and specialize in working with adults and young people experiencing complex trauma, PTSD/PTSI, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues or challenges. I’m passionate about guiding people through trauma processing by creating space for healing that leads to a more peaceful and fulfilling life. My own life experiences have given me a deep understanding of what it means to face hard things, and I bring empathy into every session. As a client, you can expect a warm, non-judgmental environment where you feel truly heard, validated, and supported. Healing is possible, and I'd love to help you find your way there.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My sessions are warm, collaborative, and completely judgment-free. I draw from several evidence-based and person-centered approaches, including CBT, ACT, ART, and the Gottman Method, but I allow your needs to take the lead. I'll listen first, validate always, and work with you to find what actually helps—not just what works in theory. My ultimate goal in every session is simple: to make sure you feel heard, respected, and less alone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is about getting to know you: your story, what's brought you here, and what you're hoping to feel or experience differently. There's no pressure to have everything figured out. From there, we'll build our sessions together using whichever therapeutic approaches feel like the right fit to help move your goals forward. I also welcome conversations about additional Stella Mental Health services like TMS, Spravato (esketamine), ketamine-assisted infusion therapy, SGB, and medication management if they might support your care.

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stella Mental Health (formerly BeSpoke Treatment) containing your intake paperwork. Please allow about 30 minutes to complete this form. Your responses will help your provider prepare for your upcoming appointment. All patients are required to complete the intake form 24 business hours before their appointment. You will receive a phone call from a dedicated Care Advocate who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full initial appointment fee. During your initial appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If in-person treatments are recommended—such as TMS, Spravato, SGB, or ketamine therapy—our care team will guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
