“I've been seeing Danielle for a long time, about a year and a half. I am confident in saying she has changed my life for the better! I came to her with major anxiety, panic attacks, depression, codependency issues, attachment issues, and more. She has led me to learning about myself, taking control of my life, feeling empowered in the positive steps I take in healing, while being extremely warm & showing sympathy. She's also super intelligent with impressive insight. So grateful I found her!”

Getting to know Danielle Turcotte

Reaching out for help is a big step. I appreciate your courage in leaning into growth and problem-solving! I am excited to get to know more about you and how I might be supportive. I operate from a strong relationally-based approach that is client-centered, solution-focused, and non-judgmental. I am very committed to building rapport, open communication, and assisting you in meeting the goals you set, at the pace that feels right for you. I believe in creating a nurturing, comfortable, and safe space for expression that promotes authentic exploration and insight. To tell you a bit about myself, I have been an independently licensed social worker since 2013. I hold an undergraduate degree in psychology from Wheaton College and a Master's in Social Work from the University of New England, Maine. I spent much of my earlier professional career working with children and families, primarily at the intersection of mental health and education, before transitioning into private practice with adults. My clinical approach is tailored to the person in front of me, drawing from various therapeutic modalities in a multi-modal approach. My therapeutic skillset is strongest with individual challenges related to behavioral and emotional management-such as coping with strong feelings, life events, and social/emotional/behavioral struggles-as well as identity formation, re-formation, and life transitions. I support exploration of feelings of belonging and questions like, ?How do I figure out who I am, who I want to be, and what I want to do with my life?? I also have experience working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. As I mentioned, it takes courage and strength to commit to creating positive change. The fact that you are reading profiles is an accomplishment! I am here for you if and when you are ready, and I look forward to celebrating your future achievements!

What should a new client know about working with you?

It's important to know that the first session is quite a bit different from the rest of therapy. It is meant to be an introduction to therapy... involving an opportunity for you to learn more about the clinician's style, an opportunity for the clinician to explore and assess your stated challenges/needs, and a discussion of treatment goals and planning. This process will hopefully assist both you and me in figuring out a therapeutic ""goodness of fit,""... meaning that I feel I have enough experience to assist you in meeting your expressed goals and you feel that my approach to treatment feels comfortable and right for you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
