Getting to know Daphne Jakstis

Hi there, I'm Daphne! I’m Daphne Jakstis, MSW, LICSW, LCSW, CDBT, licensed in MA, RI, PA, VT, and DE. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. I have been a licensed therapist for over 22 years. I stay current with the latest advances in evidence-based therapy practices and incorporate them into my work with clients. Evidence-based practices are skills and techniques that have been proven to be effective. My approach Healing is holistic, so I combine evidence-based practices with complementary approaches to promote overall healing and wellness. I understand that no two people are the same, so I tailor my methods to best fit each client’s specific needs. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges, I will help you fully realize your strengths and provide skills to manage difficulties in healthier ways. My focus I am pagan-friendly, poly-friendly, and LGBTQIA-friendly. I specialize in treating trauma. My communication style I am straightforward in my work with clients. I value your time and like to get right to work helping you move toward your goals and feel better as soon as possible. My journey to mental healthcare I started college as an anthropology major but fell in love with psychology and changed my major. The most rewarding part of my work is seeing clients grow, feel better, and reach their goals. My goals for you Goal setting is collaborative. I will ask about your therapy goals, and together we will devise a plan to help you reach them. My first session with you During our first session, we will complete an overall assessment to get a clear picture of your challenges and goals. Then, we will discuss the best ways I can support you in reaching your individual therapy goals.
