Hello, I'm Darcel. Developing trusting relationships is the foundation of a positive counseling experience. I recognize and embrace the uniqueness in each of my clients. Although I practice from a theoretical background that includes person-centered and cognitive-behavioral models, I tailor my approach to address individual client needs. My counseling style is warm, accepting, and encouraging. Each of us has the capacity for personal growth. I have been successful in assisting children, adolescents, and adults in this journey. I hold a Master's degree (MA) and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My areas of specialization include trauma, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, addiction, anxiety, depression, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, military/veteran support, multicultural/diversity issues, and PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder).
