Getting to know Darlene Amin
Darlene M. Amin, M.A., LMHC, holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and has over 13 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I work with adults and specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, co-dependency, and addiction. I am EMDR trained and have helped clients process trauma, anxiety, and addictions. Additionally, I am certified in Mindfulness and Meditation practices and am an LGBTQ+ ally.
Recently, I have taken an interest in Integrative Mental Health (IMH) and am working toward certification. IMH is the understanding that mind, body, and spirit are interconnected and influence each other. Complementary methods are explored to reduce symptoms and create a healthy lifestyle that incorporates all aspects of wellness for a well-rounded life experience.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I have a passion for helping people live their best life. I help clients discover their strengths and how to apply their strengths to improve their situations. I also enjoy teaching new skills to help clients cope with difficult situations they face. Along the way, my clients learn about themselves by exploring their internal dialogues, deconstruct those statements and replace them with positive, self-affirming statements that become strengths for them. This helps clients long-term by providing skills and tools that improve resiliency and can be used moving forward.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
