Hi there, I'm Darline! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor (LCSW-QS), and Master's level Certified Addictions Professional (MCAP). I am a seasoned clinician with over a decade’s worth of experience in the social services industry. Growing up in a Caribbean household, I have always wanted to create a space that would promote the value of maintaining mental wellness and empowering the next generation of mental health professionals serving in my community, and this is it. My vision produced in real life. I am hopeful my vision can pour into your vision for what you see as your best life! Let’s connect. My approach I meet you where you are ready to start! Then, I gently guide you in the direction you want to go in the long run. I will challenge you and support you through each season you are ready for, but you have to be ready and willing to get out of your comfort zone. My focus Individuals experiencing transitional changes, mental health challenges, even while medicated, and any dependency challenges that can be managed in an outpatient setting. My communication style I am open to communication; you can get in touch with me via phone call or text messages, though the majority of our communications will be through our hour-long weekly or biweekly sessions. I will always encourage you to journal what may occur between sessions so that this can be at the forefront of our next session discussion. Lastly, don't be afraid to tell me what works and what does not! Not every method is a good fit, and I am open to trying new things, as long as it is within my skill set. My journey to mental healthcare It all started when I got my first taste of mental health through family/friend interactions. I saw the reactions of those within my Caribbean background and made it a point to learn more about mental health. This started my career path, and I have not looked back since!
